Green Hill Hotel Onomichi - Kaneyoshi

The view from my room overlooking the sea was amazing, especially during sunset, making it a nice part of my stay.

Modern place, it was fairly clean and had very very helpful and amicable staff on shift. The hotel's position was magnificent and absolutely perfect, on the waterfront...

The buffet breakfast included a good mix of Western and Japanese dishes, ensuring everyone found something to enjoy.

Unfortunately, my experience wasn't flawless. The room became uncomfortably warm, and the heater seemed to be stuck in an 'on' mode, challenging to relax. I also found it frustrating that the charging points in the room were outdated. Lastly, the limited availability of washing machines in a hotel catering to cyclists meant long waits.

Exceptionally comfortable and absolutely fabulous property with outstandingly accommodating employees on shift. Location great, close to a bus station. It also was walk from a harbour and a hillside.

Somewhat small room.

Location: the hotel was right by the train station and ferry terminal, a pedestrian walkway and ferry and bike. A nice size and compact rooms had central heating, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a fridge😃

Hotel was modern and I truly enjoyed the food there, it was good. The location seemed good very close to the seafood restaurant. It was comfortable time in Onomichi.

The location is very close to bike rentals and the ferry port. The room had a musty smell upon entering.

Loved the spacious room with large twin beds and a couch, made relaxing easy. The view over Onomichi Port from my window added so much to my stay. Super convenient location right near bike rentals and the ferry. Check-in was smooth, and the staff helped store my bike during the trip. Breakfast offered a decent mix of Western and Japanese options, definitely a great way to start the day. The heater in my room seemed to get stuck was good. The limited washing machines caused long waits, a bit frustrating after a day of cycling. A solid spot to base my cycling adventures.

Perfect start for cycling adventures

The location couldn't be better for cyclists, right next to bike rentals and the ferry. I woke up every morning to fine sea views.

So, like, I was totally stoked to score a room with a bay view! The size of the room was huge, and having that fine sea view made my mornings just epic. Plus, it was super close to train stations and bike rentals, made starting my adventures easy. Really loved the comfy beds too!

Can't recommend highly enough for a weekend getaway

Comfortable room, excellent location, where I enjoyed a beautiful view from my window and a tasty breakfast with both Western and Japanese options available, as well as the convenience of nearby bike rentals and a quick ferry service to start my adventure across the inland sea.

The room could use better ventilation as it felt a bit stuffy at times. The lack of modern amenities might disappoint those seeking luxury, but the cleanliness was appreciated. Dining options could have included more variety, especially for beef dishes, as the available offerings were limited.

The location was perfect for our family. We strolled along paths by the waterfront and enjoyed the lovely sea view from our room. My son and I loved spending time in the spacious room with comfy twin beds and even a couch to relax on.

My children wished for more kid-friendly dining options.
